Britt Phoenix, Website Developer

Meet Britt Phoenix

Hi, I’m Britt, the voice behind PointsWise. I’ve been involved with the site since 2016, blending my love of the Pacific Northwest with a passion for earning points and travelling smarter. Whether it’s planning a pet-friendly vacation to a hockey tournament, a rustic getaway, or a 5-star resort, I’ve discovered how to make every dollar of spending work toward unforgettable travel experiences.

Some of my favourite redemptions include flights to Las Vegas and Hawaii, paired with free nights at luxury hotels such as the Fairmont Wailea and the Waldorf Astoria in Las Vegas (formerly the Mandarin Oriental). These trips were made possible through strategic use of welcome bonuses, referrals, and everyday spending.

When I’m not writing about Amex, I develop WordPress websites through my business, Chilliwack Design. I also co-authored The Fire-King Jadeite Collector’s Guide, celebrating the nostalgia of 1950s green Jadeite dishes—a passion that connects me to stories from the past.

Away from the computer, I love how travel fuels my hobbies—exploring BC’s forests, dirt biking, playing hockey, and cooking over a campfire. Whether designing websites, writing about travel rewards, or adventuring outdoors, I’m all about pursuing what I enjoy and inspiring others to do the same.

Our Story

PointsWise started in 2016 with trips to the Fairmont hotels in Vancouver and Whistler, earning and redeeming points for unforgettable stays. While our journey has evolved over the years, our focus remains the same: helping Canadians travel better.

You may come across older international flight reviews on the site—while these are part of our history, the current focus is on practical, everyday travel tips for Canadians using Amex points.
